Vertebroplasty

It is a minimal invasive procedure to treat vertebral fractures in old age patients

Vertebral fractures in old age can happen either due to osteoporosis, injury or due to metastasis (spread of cancer from other area of body)

This causes severe limitation to patient in performing daily activities

Vertebroplasty or Kyphoplasty involves injecting bone cement by small skin incisions percutaneously through a special system

Patient is relieved of pain within 2-3 hours of procedure and can be allowed to sit, stand, and walk as soon as possible
